ClearedJobs.Net Launches Online Video Interview with Experienced Technical Recruiter

February 2, 2009 Falls Church, Virginia — ClearedJobs.Net continues its educational outreach commitment for security cleared job seekers by launching a new online video interview series with senior technical recruiter Maureen Conte of Intelligence Consulting Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (ICES).

The newly released video interview provides Conte the opportunity to share some practical advice and job seeking tips for job seekers holding active clearances. Conte, who has worked for large government contractors in the Washington metro area such as SAIC as well as medium—sized companies like McClendon Corp, answers a variety of questions pertaining to the following, highly—relevant topics:

  • Interviewing with a large vs. smaller company: Learn the differences as well as solid tips, advice and approaches
  • Transitioning from the military: Key job hunting considerations as you make the shift into civilian life
  • What recruiters seek in a job candidates’ resume: What you don’t know can hurt you
  • Speaking with a recruiter at a job fair: Developing your approach
  • Why do government contract recruiters want job seekers to register online: The answer is very simple: regulations.

“I’m always eager to assist job seekers with practical, real—world advice,” says Conte. “Working with ClearedJobs.Net to help security cleared job folks improve their job searching and interview strategies via online video allows me to help job seekers beyond job fairs. I commend ClearedJobs.Net for taking the lead in helping our men and women in uniform to make a smooth transition from military to civilian employment in the security cleared arena.” Conte continues, “I’ve worked with many good folks in our Armed Forces as they prepare for civilian working opportunities and can tell you, first hand, how much this kind of helpful information is needed and sought after. I’m glad to partner with ClearedJobs.Net in serving as a valuable resource for those in need of direction and guidance in their job seeking efforts.”

The filming of the Conte interview occurred during a recent Cleared Job Fair in Tysons Corner, Virginia. These Cleared Job Fairs are held regularly; the next of which will be held on February 19th also in Tysons Corner. ICES will be attending the February 19th Cleared Job Fair event along with other cleared facilities employers such as General Dynamics IT, Northrop Grumman, BearingPoint, AT&T Government Solutions, Everest Technology Corporation, BAE Systems, SAIC, ArcSight, Advanced Concepts, Lockheed Martin, Oberon, Raytheon and many others.
