Wireless FPGA Verification Engineer

The Challenge:

As a wireless field programmable gate array (FPGA) verification engineer on our team, you’ll build custom FGPA electronic systems using VHDL, System Verilog, and other design tools. This is your chance to develop your skills in classified solutions while gaining mentoring and experience in Air Force technological circles. You'll participate in the verification effort of wireless communications systems on novel new architectures and waveforms. As a key member of the hardware team, you'll be working closely with the designers to develop the verification environment, test plans and functionality of the FPGA and ASIC designs in order to prototype and field test the technologies.

You Have:

-Experience with going through several complete and successful FPGA design and verification cycles from architecting and creation of FPGA test environment to demonstration on hardware

-Experience with verification work, including planning, debugging, random testing, and black box and adversarial testing for Xilinx FPGAs and Vivado

-Experience in verification while working with VHDL Designs using VHDL or System Verilog

-Experience with C/C++ and scripting

-Experience with test plan definition, test bench design and development, coverage specification, and analysis and automation of the regression test suite

-Secret clearance

-MS degree and 8+ years of experience with electrical engineering or PhD and 5+ years of experience with electrical engineering

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with OS-VVM, UVM, or other functional verification methodologies

-Experience with scripting using TCL and Python preferred

-Experience with ASIC verification a plus

-Experience with MatLab a plus

-Knowledge of the fundamentals of wireless digital communications systems and all PHY processes from data in to baseband I/Q out

-Ability to clearly articulate the function of all digital blocks in a typical communications chain, including encoders, modulators, and correlators
