Windows Systems Administrator (SSBI)

Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Work closely with CACI network team to determine IMSD future network needs and plan for network changes.
  • Install and maintain network hardware and software
  • Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users
  • Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security
  • Ensure network connectivity throughout IMSD infrastructure is on par with CACI technical considerations
  • Perform network address assignment and assign routing protocols and routing table configuration
  • Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, software deployment, security updates and patches
  • Analyze the current IMSD network structure and make recommendations to the IT Manager on how to make the network more efficient
  • Establishes, maintains and manages users Windows accounts. 
  • Installs, modifies and maintains systems and utility software on server computer systems. 
  • Provides server support related to other software
  • Install new/rebuild existing VM servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
  • Establishes guidelines and methods for the installation and management of the host computer operating systems, fiber channel switches, tape libraries and other components
  • Develops procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature and user abuse

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline. 
  • Relevant experience may substitute for the degree required on a year for year basis. 
  • 7 years’ work experience in complex system systems design, networking and systems software and support.
  • Knowledge of: Windows operating systems; current equipment and technologies in use; Nutanix system administration, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring tools; effective project management techniques; management of CISCO switches.
  • Ability to: Plan, organize and document complex system network design activities and configure systems to be consistent with institutional policies/procedures; communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing; establish and maintain cooperation, understanding, trust and credibility; perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to emergency situations effectively
  • Current favorable SSBI is required for position

  • Ability to pass a mandatory Pre-Employment drug test
