Windows Systems Administrator - Secret - Goose Creek, SC

Job Description:

The Leidos Defense Group currently has two openings for Computer System Administrators (CSA) to work at the Navy Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC), Goose Creek, SC. This is an opportunity to use your experience to help Leidos as it supports Fluor Marine Propulsion Corporation, LLC (FMP LLC) via the Training Programs and Technologies - Computer-Based Training Development Personnel subcontract. In this subcontract we transform curricula designed by instructional experts, experienced Navy Nuclear Power technicians, and Navy Nuclear Propulsion subject matter experts into computer-based training (CBT) products used in the Navy's self-paced nuclear power plant training program. Your CSA skills will be used to support the IT systems used to develop and deliver this computer-based training. Responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of information technology (IT) systems, including associated hardware, used to create and develop the NNPTP CBT products. Ensures Software Application Programmers, Instructional Designers, Interactive Simulation Programmers, and nuclear power training program SMEs are able to use installed IT systems to achieve project/program objectives. Troubleshoot, analyze and resolve software and system related problems. Coordinates with project leads and internal team members. Provide timely and professional recommendations to the team and customer.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience or an Associate's Degree in Information Technology with four (4) years of professional experience or equivalent combined education/experience.
  • Must be experienced in supporting Windows server computing environment, specifically Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Object management.
  • Must be experienced with the general administration of enterprise applications, servers and databases.
  • Must be experienced with the integration of hardware and applications software of major computing systems.
  • Must be experienced with Software updates and lifecycle management.
  • Must assist FMP in troubleshooting including the recommendation of methods and software.
  • Must have an active or current Final US Secret security clearance (or higher) to start work


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with the Navy Nuclear Power Training Program is a plus.
  • Previous CSA experience supporting any branch of the Armed Forces is a plus.
  • Active or current DoE L or Q clearance is a plus.
