Windows Systems Administrator, ACAS Support

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide the Deployment and installation of the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) 5.3 platform
  • Provide system administration and maintain operations of Nessus and Security Center.
  • Maintain system patches, O/S, Database, and Application STIG compliance for ACAS platform.
  • Update ACAS plugin Libraries, in accordance with Dept. of Navy requirements
  • Create specialized reports to fulfill security requirements
  • Resolve Security Center web interface issues and Nessus network scanning issues
  • Configure and manage ACAS application level for user permissions, policies, scan zones, and repositories
  • Work with the DISA ACAS team for challenging issues that need escalation

Education and Experience:
  • Candidates must have a Bachelors Degree and 8 years of relevant experience.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Specific experience with the ACAS platform (Nessus / Security Center / PVS / NNM) and hands on experience deploying an ACAS server and troubleshooting issues with each product as well as the configuration of the application level for internal and customer use
  • Possess or have the ability to obtain DISA ACAS Certification
  • Must possess or obtain a Secret / SSBI clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of Linux operating system is a plus

  • Needs to have clear, concise and accurate communication skills
  • Need to work well with, co-operate, and support clients, supervisors, and co-workers
  • Needs to understand and apply NAWCWD security processes as a part of their job.
  • Needs to have a background maintaining facilities
  • Will work in computer room environment with raised floors and very cool ambient room temperatures.
Equipment and Machines
  • Standard office equipment and machines, computer workstation.
  • Installation and repair work involved will require the use of ladders, screwdrivers, and pliers.
  • Normal hours are Monday – Thursday 7:00am – 5:00pm, non-flex Fridays 7:00am to 4:00pm
  • Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines
  • Regular attendance is necessary and required

  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with clients, supervisors and co-workers
  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to the employee or others
  • Must be able to support and work in a proactive team environment
  • Must hold the safety of yourself and those around you as the number one priority in the workplace
  • The ability to possess a Government CAC card required
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain an interim and a permanent U.S. DOD Secret Security Clearance.
