Job Description Job Number: R0044682

Windows System Administrator/Engineer, Senior

The Challenge:

Your combination of people skills and technical expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. What if you could use those skills to improve the technology supporting Navy and Marine Corps mission requirements? We’re looking for a systems administrator with a solid background in Microsoft Windows and ESX and ESXi engineering and administration to help us create technical and Cybersecurity solutions for Navy systems that will stand up to even the most advanced Cyber threats.

As a systems administrator on our project, you’ll assist with the ongoing design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical sustainment of Navy production networks.  You’ll coordinate with in-house teams to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customer’s IT needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. You’ll work to ensure that the current network infrastructure is functional and available while simultaneously helping Navy commands to ensure that their Windows and virtual environments comply with DoD and Department of Navy (DON) directives and mandates. You’ll design, configure, and deploy technical solutions and countermeasures while working to patch and upgrade critical systems. You’ll provide your customers with insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. You’ll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like Windows server administration, group policy management, Domain Name Service (DNS), and Cloud-based security while building piece of mind in a critical infrastructure. We focus on growing as a team, so you’ll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team to work through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help your customers meet their needs. Join our team and solve daily challenges as we improve the efficiency, reliability, and security of Navy and Marine Corps systems and networks.

Empower change with us.
