The Navy Marine Corps business group provides end-to-end IT solutions to the Department of the Navy including transport, networking, end user hardware and services, cybersecurity and staffing. Using agile engineering and DevOps methods, we produce mission-specific solutions to solve the Fleet's challenges.
We are seeking an WaaS Delivery & Client Engineering Support Engineer in Norfolk, VA who will be responsible for coordinating, deploying, monitoring and troubleshooting of enterprise workstation operating system upgrades.
Required skillsets include: Experience with Radia, Tanium & AD, Experience creating scripts for a network environment, Exceptional problem solving skills, Extensive knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Operating Systems, Entry to medium level experience with standard scripting languages and techniques (VBS, PowerShell). Automation experience desired.
Roles and responsibilities: Coordinate, initiate, monitor and troubleshoot remote OS upgrades on all NMCI workstations, Use Radia, Tanium and Active Directory to manage/assign software policy to all workstations in the enterprise, Create and execute basic PowerShell scripts on the network to resolve enterprise/widespread issues related to the upgrade, Identify application incompatibilities, particularly for Non-Core solutions, and recommend solutions, Create/Revise enterprise deployment plans as needed based on customer requirements and impact/risk to the enterprise, Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis on workstations to include Advanced Log Analysis and Diagnosis, Document processes and procedures, Import data into EUA Database, Run ad-hoc EUA reports, Release and maintain EMT releases in CADS, DADS, and Production, Release and maintain client GPO updates in CADS, DADS, and Production.
Required certifications: CompTIA Security+ or other DoD 8570 IAT II certification. Must achieve SAFe practitioner certification within 6 months of hire. Microsoft certs desired.
