VTC Sr. Network Engineer TS/SCI W/Poly

Job Description


What You’ll Get to Do:

As a Senior Network Engineer, your responsibilities will include the design, configuration, testing and installation of Video Tele-Communications (VTC) equipment into the global enterprise.  Perform research, develop white papers, user guides, and team manuals.  Coordinate procurement, installation of systems, and work within Service Level Agreement timeframes for the remote installation and troubleshooting of systems.

  • Candidate must have performed on contracts that are highly specialized, leading edge information technologies and methodologies. 
  • Candidate must provide highly technical and specialized guidance concerning automated solutions to complex information processing and IT problems. 
  • Candidate must be able to perform elaborate analyses and studies; prepare reports and able to lead medium to large complex projects as well as lead the major phases of very large projects. 
  • Candidate must be able to manage the fact-finding, analysis, and development of hypothesis/conclusions, production of final reports and delivery of presentations.
  • Candidate must ensure that the project delivers to government expectations on time and to budget; manage the project work as defined under government direction.

“You’ll bring these qualifications:”

  • Must have strong networking skills and able to provide engineering, installation and documentation of complex telecommunication systems. 
  • Where needed, perform site surveys and/or assist remotely in the support of CONUS and OCONUS installations.   
  • Have working knowledge of engineering lifecycle, system integration and configuration control / change management
  • Ability to work with Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM)  and Cisco Unified Communication Server (CUCS)

Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II Compliance (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CISSP, etc)

Master’s Degree or higher and 10 years of relevant experience; or B.S. in a Technical Field and 12 years of relevant experience; or No Degree and 20 years of relevant experience. 

“These qualifications would be nice to have:”

  • Cisco network equipment such as Cisco, Brocade, Nexus, etc.
  • Proficiency with creating documents using MS Visio
  • Knowledge of the customer and customer base.
  • Ability to think ‘outside of the box’ to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple organization
  • Ability to communicate with various organizational layers.
