Virtual Infrastructure System Administrator


Key Role:

Perform day-to-day system administration services and maintain responsibility for supporting IT disciplines and practices. Ensure the operations, confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets with established standards and procedures. Work closely with information owners, USINDOPACOM directorates, systems staff, network staff and Cybersecurity staff to ensure system, application operations and security is achieved, including ensuring maintenance and reports are accurate for USINDOPACOM networks. Operate, enhance, secure, monitor, initiate corrective actions and report on systems under client’s assigned responsibilities.

Basic Qualifications:

-3 years of experience with managing and supporting VMWare VCenter & Horizon View environments

-Experience working in a VMWare virtualized environment

-Experience in managing and securing VMWare and Windows Desktop Systems and applications within a DoD environment

-Experience with Virtual Infrastructure System Administration to maintain, install, update, including patching, back-up, restore and secure operating systems and applications for INDOPACOM’s Virtual-Machine Operating Environment (VOE) and ensure systems and applications are compliant with DoD Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) requirements

-Experience in securing systems and applications in accordance with Federal, DoD and USINDOPACOM regulations, directives, policies and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

-Experience with managing CISCO UCS, MDS, EMC Data Domain, EMC Isilon, EMC VNX SAN, EMC RPA LINUX/UNIX and MDS in a DOD environment

-Experience in managing VMWARE View, SRM, vCOPS and ESXi in a DOD environment

-Active Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED

-IAT II Certified and VCP 6 Certified

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Cybersecurity analysis, incident response, or a related field

-Experience with design, implementation, maintenance, testing bi-annually and executing the VOE Continuity of Operations (COOP)

-Experience with Microsoft Office tools

-Experience with leveraging all source intelligence analysis

-Experience with Splunk, or ArcSight

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills in a professional consulting environment

-BA or BS degree in Information Security, CS, or Cybersecurity
