Value Stream Manager - Conformal Coating

This position has overall responsibility for CCA (Circuit Card Assembly) manufacturing in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Requires assembled hardware meets contractual quality, cost, and delivery requirements by planning, organizing, and directing the flow of production for several programs within the Conformal Coat Value Stream in the CCA Center of Excellence operation in IADC (Integrated Air Defense Center), supporting CCA deliveries to multiple sites both internal and external.

Daily interaction with CCA functional areas manadates leveraging indirect influence expertise. These groups include: technical support, manufacturing, maintenance, production control, and finance. Achieving/exceeding cost, quality, delivery, safety goals and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using six sigma and lean methodologies are critical performance criteria for this position.
In addition, you will be overseeing the Chemical, Tooling and Small Tool ordering. These tasks can include maintaining the budget, expediting goods, scheduling deliveries, ordering, adding and maintaining the chemical catalog, and interaction with the IADS Chemical Coordinator, Contracts Manager, and SRM/EBP (Service Request Management / Enterprise Buyer Program) site contact.
In addition to the above, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Workforce planning and forecasting

Employee hiring and training

Area layout and flow management

Capital identification and control of overhead expenses

Ensuring the enforcement of company policies and procedures

Daily interaction with Value Stream Leads and Cell Leads of CCA

Point of Contact for Haas Contractor (in house 20 Hrs/week)

Maintain Security Access listing for the DOD (Department of Defense) closed area (general access and combo)

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Required Skills:

6+ years experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of manufacturing planning/scheduling and operations

U.S. Citizenship status is required

Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with a proven track record of lean/six sigma implementation projects

Desired Skills:

Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, and Supervisory experience in the aerospace/defense industry

Previous experience with bargaining unit employees

Ability to leverage technology

Excellent communication (written and verbal) and solid interpersonal skills

Ability to lead in a team-based manufacturing environment and make decisions with minimal supervision

Solid People Management Skills – Goal setting, Delegation, Coaching, Motivating

Supervisory skills with ability to use good judgment to resolve conflict

Customer focused

High computer literacy and proficiency with confidence and skill working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access)

Familiarity with paperless Shop Floor Control Systems

Familiarity with the SRM/EBP system

Familiarity with the Haas TcmIS system

Required Education:

BS/BA in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, Business or any major related to the above job description
