UH-72 (EC-145/LUH-72) Aircraft Mechanic III-Marana, AZ

       

Overview: PAE is a leading provider of enduring support for the essential missions of the U.S. Government, its allied partners and international organizations.  As it enters its 60th year of business, PAE’s current portfolio includes capabilities in critical facility infrastructure, aviation, logistics, training, range operations and national security solutions, to support complex missions for customers around the world.    Responsibilities: **Bonus---Work days/hours: 4 ten-hour days weekly.   **Important:  Due to contractual requirements, an Airframe and Powerplants License (A&P) and LUH-72 (EC145) experience is required.     Aircraft Mechanic III does the following; maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures, structural components and engines of complex to extreme difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components, and applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation. This worker also applies professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals. Work typically requires a thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components, a thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems. A detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. is required. The incumbent must possess the experience and ability to provide technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers alike must possess excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet aircraft delivery schedule. This worker will be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records, and is responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts.  Qualifications: Must have an A&P License. High School graduate or equivalent • Minimum 10 years actual and recent aircraft general repair maintenance/modification experience is required• Must have completed military aviation maintenance training or maintenance technical school curriculum or possess an FAA issued A&P license • Must have basic knowledge of electrical theory must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, and micrometers and possess their own tools •Must have UH-72 aircraft experience• Must have experience with Unit Level Logistics System-Aviation (ULLS-A) • Must have a current NACI/NACLC investigation • May be required to pass and maintain a U.S. Government background security check • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds.
