UH-60 Maintainer Training Instructor

       

Summary:

The UH-60 Maintainer Training Instructor will provide classroom-type and hands-on training for the UH-60 helicopter in Afghanistan. The maintainer training courses will include aircraft mechanics, aviation logistics, quality control, and production control training.  Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Plan, conduct, and supervise aircraft technical inspections
  • Compute basic weight and balance records
  • Participate in maintenance test flights and operation checks as required
  • Ensure compliance with aircraft configuration control, Army oil analysis Program and test measuring diagnostic equipment calibration
  • Provide lower level technicians guidance in aircraft repair and technical inspection techniques and procedures according to directives, technical manuals, work standards and operational policies
  • Prepare evaluations, special reports, and records pertaining to aircraft maintenance repair and related activities

Required:

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance
    • and/or combination of instruction experience, education and/or training qualifications directly related to the UH-60 helicopter.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a level of experience necessary to inspect all aircraft assigned
  • Proficient in the use of the current maintenance management system utilized to maintain Army aircraft forms and records
  • Candidates must be capable of qualifying to perform Hazardous Flight duties as Crew-members/Non-Crew-members
  • Required to meet the qualifications in AR 95-20

Desired:

  • Previous OCONUS experience (preferably in Afghanistan or Iraq).
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 10 years’ experience.
  • Airframe & Power plant (A&P) license
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
