UAV Field Technician 3

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Field Technician 3 in support of the Hunter MQ-5B in Dugway, UT. The Technician installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment. Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time. Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. Maintains effective customer communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.

Establishes and directs a training system and/or conducts classroom and practical instruction to provide technical knowledge for the safe maintenance, repair, and operation of aircraft, aircraft systems, ground equipment, tools, test
equipment, stores and facilities, according to established procedures. May analyze current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs and develop training programs. Writes, edits, and produces materials for technical instruction. Provides assistance and support to all divisions in helping them determine their training needs and develop and conduct their maintenance training programs. Establishes and directs the maintenance of a company-wide training and qualification record system. Maintains currency in technical developments, technical training, and audiovisual techniques including the maintenance of company aircraft instruction manuals. Coordinates all required technical training and outside contract sales technical training programs.

Candidate must pass Initial Qualification as required.

Candidate must be able to perform work in an approved work environment during specified work hours, in both external and internal environmental conditions.

Work may be performed in overseas locations.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

- 4 plus years of aviation experience
- AS or AAS Degree OR 4 years with High School/GED Diploma
- Successful completion of initial Hunter qualification training
- Able to medically clear for OCONUS deployment (Medical requirements available upon request)
- Must be able to successfully pass a medical physical in accordance with DCMA 8210.1C standards.
- Valid US Passport
- Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

3 years qualified Hunter MQ-5B maintainer and 6 years aviation maintenance experience, or 3 years Hunter MQ-5B qualified maintainer with an Associates Degree. Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) certificate and/or Hunter MQ-5B maintainer certified Instructor.
