Summary:
  • TheTMP Operations Supervisor supervises busdrivers and training of bus drivers daily.

Duties andResponsibilities:

  • Supervisethe TMP personnel with highest emphasis on the driver pool to ensure allrequirements are accomplished in a timely and productive manner.
  • Befamiliar with driving schedules so as to be cognizant of routedeparture/arrival times.
  • Periodicallyinspect TMP vehicles to ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance is beingaccomplished.
  • Educateall TMP drivers as to their responsibilities while operating a GSA vehicle.
  • Periodicallyinspect all GSA vehicles for incident/accident damages; assisting customers andTMP personnel in the preparation of vehicle work orders and determining type andsources of service required;monitoring status of vehicles at service/repairvendors.
  • Directdispatchers on coordination of manufacturer recall notices between customersand servicing vendors.
  • Directemployees to pressure check tires, check and maintain fuel levels.
  • Performdriver check rides. Educate drivers tocorrect driving procedures.
  • Counseldrivers and maintain on going check rides.
  • Responsible for ensuring that scheduling,dispatching, maintaining vehicles; movement of passengers and cargo, driverqualifications, receiving and issuing vehicle, and maintaining and providingaccurate equipment records are all performed in accordance with applicableregulation and SOPs.
  • Assistthe Transportation Motor Pool Supervisor in all assigned duties.

MinimumQualifications: (Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.)

  • High School graduate orequivalent.
  • Aminimum of five (5) years experience in transportation and/or vehicleoperations is preferred.
  • Minimumof one (1) year computer experience.
  • Mustbe able to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) for computeraccess.
  • Mustpossess and continuously maintain a current valid driver’s license.

Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities:

  • Experience in the transportation field.
  • Maintaincurrency in regard to technological developments, particularly in equipment,facilities, and safety in Federal, State, and local laws and regulationsconcerning vehicle operations.
  • Possessleadership skills related to decision-making and job accomplishment.
  • Extensiveinteraction with the customer and TMP personnel is required

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

  • Theemployee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment,with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
  • Duringvisits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weatherconditions. Is occasionally exposed tofumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
