Position Overview:

This position will provide support to NAVAIR's Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division's (NAWCAD) Total Asset Visibility - Special Tooling/Special Test Equipment program in Granite City, Illinois.  The individual filling this role will perform GBL generation/requests for transportation as a primary function and other various aspects of supply management work as a secondary function.  Will be under close supervision of a Supply Technician and the Warehouse Operations Manager.

  • Order trucks, FedEx, UPS, etc. for transportation utilizing DoD GFM transportation module.
  • Generating Government Bills of Lading in support of a DOD service component (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) requirement.
  • Maintain accurate files allowing for easy audit, research and reference for associated shipments.
  • Liaison with the Warehouse staff in order to resolve information/quantity/weight discrepancies as required.
  • Research files and stock locations in order to answer customer inquiries related to shipments and receipts of tools and test equipment into and out of the warehouse.
  • The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions.
  • Perform other related duties as required.


  • United States Citizenship.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Designation.
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
  • Must have a valid United States Driver’s License.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
