Training Analyst Manager - Ballistic Missile Defense


The SAIC Engineering, Integration, & Mission Solutions (EIMS) Market Segment, in support of the Defense Systems Customer Group, currently has a career opportunity for a Training Analyst Manager to provide support to the Commander, Pacific Fleet (COMPACFLT) Ballistic Missile Defense Exercise (BMDEX) training program as a Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Tactical Operations Subject Matter Expert.

The Analyst has the overall responsibility for overseeing, planning and coordinating all Operational aspects of the PACFLT Ballistic Missile Defense Exercise (BMDEX) Program and function as Program Manager for a team of Subject Matter Experts (SME). Provide SME support to Tactical Training Group, Pacific for planning, coordinating and executing Carrier Strike Group (CSG) and Independent Deployer Fleet Synthetic Training (FST) events.


Skills/Experience Required:

• Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) subject matter expert specializing in Maritime force capabilities. 
• Possesses a current and thorough understanding of BMD doctrine, tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP) in all missions; Homeland Defense/LRS&T, Theater/Regional active defense, and Sea-based terminal defense.
• Qualified as an Aegis BMD Tactical Action Officer; or qualified as an BMD watch officer while serving as an Air Warfare Coordinator (AWC) or Combat Systems Coordinator (CSC).
• 20 years Surface Navy experience including technical management as a Naval Officer supervising combat system configuration, operation, testing, maintenance, and repair.
• Experience conducting shipboard BMD watch-team training or recent in-depth experience conducting BMD exercises, training, or operations
• Experience with Joint and Coalition BMD architectures
• Able to confidently and accurately brief Senior Navy Leadership on exercise design and results by using refined communication skills.

Desired Skills:
• Has active duty USN Strike Group or recent Numbered Fleet staff experience and qualified as a Surface Warfare Officer and Tactical Action Officer on an AEGIS platform with an in-depth understanding of the AEGIS Weapon System capabilities and employment.
• Is experienced and knowledgeable in Joint National Training Capability (JNTC), specifically Fleet Synthetic Training utilizing the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) live and distributed synthetic simulation training system to conduct scenario development and integration of live, constructive, and virtual simulations into a realistic scenario, is a plus.
• Is experienced in Navy Composite Warfare Commander concept with superior knowledge in Air Defense, Ballistic Missile Defense and high knowledge in all other Navy warfare areas.
• Is experienced in a Navy decision-making billet serving as a Warfare Commander or one of his principal subordinates within the Composite Warfare Commander Construct.

Bachelor’s degree and 20+ years related experience.

Possess a TOP SECRET Sensitive Compartmented Information level security clearance.
