Threat Warning Analyst (KIO-026)

Overview

We are seeking a THREAT WARNING ANALYST (senior-level) to support the United States Forces Korea (USFK), Assistant Chief of Staff, J2 (ACofS, J2) JIOC-K. Provide timely intelligence to Commander, USFK and Combined Forces Command, the combined battle staff, and war fighter component commanders.

 

The JIOC-K's efforts focus on detecting enemy threats, managing intelligence, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) activities, analyzing enemy actions and information to determine enemy's probable courses of action.

 

The overall analytic effort strengthens Defense Intelligence and provides relevant, timely, objective, and cogent all source Defense Intelligence to the Commander and other users, and transforming theater intelligence activities to better leverage the capabilities of the theater and global intelligence communities and safeguard United States personnel and interests within the Korea Theater of Operations (KTO).

 

This position offers the following negotiable allowances: relocation package, incentive pay for a two year commitment, annual DODDS school tuition, housing allowance, and relocation allowance pending JIOC-K move from Yongsan to Pyongtaek.

Responsibilities

Tasks that the contractor shall perform include but are not limited to the following:

  • Support worldwide monitoring of all-source intelligence, collection and operational information; recognizing indicators suggesting potential enemy threats or attacks
  • Gather, review and collate message traffic along with other
  • Conduct research and analysis on complex operational
  • Coordinate and recommend new plans and procedures in response to emerging trends and national security within authorities, legislative mandates and regulatory
  • Coordinate with allied partners to ensure timely sharing of information on potential enemy threats or attacks
Qualifications

Desired Qualifications:

  • Korea experience
  • Indications and warning / watch experience addressing a regional threat
  • Korea language skills desired but not required

Education:

  • Senior Level: Bachelor or master's degrees with 8+ years of experience, or, specialized training & 10+ years of experience, or, equivalent academic experience. Credentialed subject matter expert or recognized specialist in relevant field.

Clearance Requirements:           

  • Must have active TS/SCI clearance. CI Polygraph eligible.

Individual contractors serving in hostile areas are authorized by the Contracting Officer, subject to the Theater Commander's policy on the matter to carry Government-issued side arms/weapons and in accordance with USFK contingency conditions clause
