Rincon Research Corporation seeks a test engineer to support the development and production of state-of-the-art RF and signal-processing systems. The test engineer will develop automated tests with software and hardware engineers, assist troubleshooting efforts with our production team, suggest and implement improvements to our quality management system, and develop technical product documentation for internal use and for our customers. The test engineer will also field customer support requests and work with customers to resolve issues and coordinate repairs.

What are the primary responsibilities in the Test Engineer position?

 

The day-to-day tasks of the test engineer will draw on multi-tasking ability, written and verbal communication skills, engineering fundamentals, attention to detail, and an enthusiasm for learning.

The test engineer will have many opportunities to learn, grow, and develop. The test engineer will work with senior engineers and developers, learn about digital-signal processing, FPGAs, SDRs, circuit design, circuit board layout, RF circuits, and test equipment.

 

 

What required background will make you successful?

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other relevant field
  • Experience with test equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic programming skills
  • Familiarity with Linux
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance and special access (US citizenship required)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

 

 

Preferred skills:

 

  • Master’s degree Electrical Engineering or other equivalent field of discipline
  • 3-5 years of test experience

This position is located at our Tucson, AZ office.
