Key Role:
Provide technical writing and editing support, including programmatic and engineering documentation for the client. Interview subject matter experts and distill knowledge into clear and concise language in appropriate templates. Leverage knowledge of technical writing best practices and various DoD guidance to edit documentation precisely.
Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with military standards and specifications governing the preparation of technical documentation
-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Ability to create documentation templates, as needed
-Ability to provide leadership to junior staff
-Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced, team environment
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-HS diploma or GED and 9 years of experience with editing, preparing, and producing technical manuals, specifications, military standards, and other technical reports and documentation, AA or AS degree and 6 years of experience with editing, preparing, and producing technical manuals, specifications, military standards, and other technical reports and documentation, or BA or BS degree in Journalism, English, or Technical Writing and 3 years of experience with editing, preparing, and producing technical manuals, specifications, military standards, and other technical reports and documentation
