  • Regularly engage with engineering to discuss project requirements and details relating to project submissions.
  • Review As-built DWGs and ensure drawing version, page setup, Xref paths, drawings titles and drawing index are accurate and meet expected standards, correct as needed.
  • Review engineering design schedules, verify all information appears to be complete and accurate,  identify missing information, correct as needed and discuss complex issues with DRI.
  • Review hardware sets, zone sets and linkage table entries for PVT development, identify any omissions, discrepancies and/or anomalies, discuss and resolve with DRI to ensure accurate PVT documentation.
  • Review field notes/comments from FDT and PVT results forms, incorporate applicable information into test template documentation for future submissions.
  • Review Stoplight report for upcoming documentation requirements and contact DRI when documentation milestones approach.
  • Research and update pricing information to the Program’s APL to ensure most recent information is readily available.
  • Understanding of electronic security systems and ability to modify SOOs depending on the actual hardware installed.
  • Perform QC review of engineering documentation, identify and correct discrepancies if possible, notify DRI if required.
  • Review, scan and archive all FDT and PVT results documentation.
  • Review, publish and distribute Tech Book documentation.
  • Review, compile and publish Project Close-out documentation.

Uses multiple word processing and presentation tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio etc
Understands basic concepts, responsible for writing technical copy for various types of documents for a program/project of similar complexity
Responsible for preparing and maintaining operations documentation, user guides and manuals and technical publications
Responsible for preparing reports, responses, and briefings targeted to a wide range of audiences
Works with developers to produce quality documentation and training materials
Coordinates layout and design of documents
Works on all phases of documentation
Under general direction, responsible for writing technical copy for various types of documents for a program/project of similar complexity
Applies concepts for technical writing based on engineering drawings, technical information from engineering documentation, consultations with engineers and subject matter experts, and other available sources
Produces defense acquisition documentation, user manuals, training manuals, and other documentation utilized by the end-user community of DoD electronic equipment and systems
Interprets engineering and maintenance drawings, operational procedures and to understand and blend large quantities of computer related information
Researches highly technical subject matter, organizes information from multiples sources, and expresses technical information in written form that is comprehensible to a wide audience of readers
Produces technical documentation for Cryptologic programs or projects developing analytic tradecraft methodologies
Applies technical manual standard NSA DS-89 to work products
Six (6) years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government is required. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional technical writing experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Three (3) years of demonstrated experience is required with enterprise scale information technology system documentation.
