NOTE: This position can be a Salary Grade G07 or G08 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills,experience and responsibility requirements for the position.





Systems Validation, Test and Analysis Directorate (SVTAD) is the central focus for all integration, verification and validation (IV&V) activities within IDS. Over 700 employees of SVTAD provide their expertise to ensure customer success through the development and execution of innovative and comprehensive IV&V strategies, processes, tools and techniques. SVTAD employees are involved in all aspects of IV&V including: design-for-test, integration, subsystem and component level testing through sell-off of IDS ’ most sophisticated systems and technologies.



Opportunities currently exist within SVTAD's Air Defense Systems Department in Andover, Massachusetts. The Air Defense Systems Department (ADS) provides expertise in the integration, validation, and sell off for various air defense programs within IDS. ADS Engineers are involved in all aspects of the Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) cycle. ADS engineers have ownership authority to ensure that individual items are integrated and perform as expected as well as ensuring that the system can be sold off. Most system tests will be conducted in the ADS Department’s HWIL facilities. These facilities include integrated tactical hardware, simulated, and emulated software for data collection to verify the systems capabilities and support the ultimate sell off of the System. ADS support the PATRIOT and NASAMS family of programs.



Job Description:



The SVTAD Department is in need for a Government Furnished Property (GFP) Engineer to lead and support all of the Patriot Production Contracts and equipment. This position is responsible for the oversight, receipt, count and condition, accountability, proper handling, storage, inventory control, data collection, product packaging, transportation, delivery and warehouse oversight of all government property.

Additional Responsibilities Include:





  • Provide disposition tracking of all GFP.

  • Support customer(internal and external) meetings on government property.

  • Lead the delivery of required Contracted Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).

  • Provide updates and recommendations to the customer’s property book.

  • Lead the Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Contract Acquired Property (CAP),through Automated Logistics Control System (ALCS), all Government property provided, acquired and utilized under the contract.

  • Maintain an up-to-date Government property record for each project site’s GFP, GFE and CAP.

  • Update and maintain GFP Property Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

  • Support the physical movement in the life cycle of GFP.

  • Provide property registry analysis and GFP informational integrity support.

  • Maintain shipping and receiving documentation in support of the asset procurement lifecycle.

  • Provide 100%Inventory and tracking for government provided GFP documentation.

  • Support fiscal year on-site reviews of records, storage, utilization and physical inventories processes.

  • Support Inventories and inspections of property in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation(FAR) 45.



Required Skills:





  • Minimum of six (4+)years logistics support experience for a complex hardware system to include updates and recommendations to the customer property book, provide disposition tracking of GFP, physical movement in the life cycle of GFP.

  • Experience presenting to government customers of Property status and reporting with supporting documents and data.

  • Experience in operating from or supporting logistics for remote sites/OCONUS locations.

  • Active Secret Security Clearance.



Desired Skills:





  • 6 years of Patriot experience in operations or maintenance and understand repair process of ground support equipment.

  • Experience with Automated Logistics Control System (ALCS) and Process Re-Invention and Systems for Manufacturing (PRISM)

  • Professional or Military experience interfacing with and supporting Government Program Offices such as SAMD, CECOM, and LTPO.

  • Experience developing, analyzing, and reporting metrics related to configuration audits.

  • Ability to resolve complex problems that require the interaction across multiple functional organizations.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to develop and implement processes and procedures addressing all areas of workflow and work in a team environment.

  • Experience supporting Gate reviews and briefing Leadership Teams.



Required Education:



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business or relevant field or equivalent combination of related experience and education (8 years of experience in Logistics can substitute for required education)
