TECHNICAL EXPLOITATION ANALYST

Mission Essential is currently seeking Technical Exploitation Analysts to develop and implement advanced/expert solutions in the following areas:

·         Tracking enemy TTPs and exploiting weaknesses in the use of anti-forensic tools

·         Registry analysis and correlating results throughout information and intelligence holdings for link analysis

·         Technical exploitation tool and script development

·         Artifact pattern analysis, exploitation, and cross set link analysis

·         Exploit and provide cross set link analysis in the areas of communication tools and methods, social media, and messaging; to perform uncommon Operating System exploitation to include, but not limited to, Linux, Mac, and mobile device Operating Systems

·         Emerging technology application analysis and exploitation to prevent technological surprise.  

·         Internet history and artifact analysis

·         Steganography and other data obfuscation detection and analysis

·         Latest forensic and technical exploitation tools and ability to evaluate tools for inclusion into USG processes.

 

The Technical Exploitation Analyst applies both hardware and software reverse-engineering techniques to detect and identify unique attributes or modifications to known mobile device baselines and malware on mobile devices.  He/she executes cross-collection exploitation and analysis to include: discovery of applications of interest used across sets by target groups; discovery of tactics, techniques, and procedures employed by target groups.  He/she generates professional technical exploitation reports of interest to customers and the Intel Community, and performs application and internet activities analysis to support source vetting, digital profiling, and other requirements.

 

The Technical Exploitation Analyst coordinates, develops and promulgates forensic and technical exploitation standards for forward deployed IC assets, and provides Subject Matter Expert-level technical support for USG partners, internal/external customer, and deployed platforms. He/she provides global Technical Exploitation response capabilities to include: deployable technical exploitation personnel to meet agency & partner contingency requirements and expert multi-functional exploitation expertise as required.  He/she coordinates with partners, as necessary, on technical exploitation platform and training related issues, and plans, integrates and executes full-spectrum technical exploitation plans, exercises, training and operations as required.  He/she assists in the conduct of Site Exploitation (SE) activities as required, and provides technical support to field collection and other operational partner elements to include: diverse set of technical exploitation tools & tradecraft, Hardware Exploitation, and Firmware Exploitation of non-mobile devices.  The Technical Exploitation Analyst assists in asset validation and credibility assessments by providing baseline assessments of non-mobile digital media.

 

Minimum Requirements

·         Level 1: Bachelor’s degree, OR Associate’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience, OR a High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of relevant experience

·         Level 2: Master’s degree, OR Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience, OR Associate’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience, OR a High School Diploma/GED and 6 years of relevant experience

·         Level 3: PhD, OR Master’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience, OR Associate’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience, OR a High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of relevant experience

·         Level 4: PhD and 2 years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience, OR Associate’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience, OR a High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of relevant experience.

·         Level 5: PhD and 4 years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience, OR Associate’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience, OR a High School Diploma/GED and 12 years of relevant experience. 

  • Relevant certifications desired.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong research, critical thinking and analytic skills.

·         TS/SCI Clearance w/ polygraph
