Team Ldr I Assembly

This position will be within the California Consolidated Manufacturing Center in El Segundo. This role is for 2nd shift. The general working hours are 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm PST. Must be able to wok overtime, and weekends as needed. This role is responsible for supporting production in a team-based manufacturing environment. Performs activities to ensure that components and assembles flow smoothly through the production area to meet stringent deadlines and quality standards. Coordinates and monitors workflow, assisting in scheduling and prioritizing activities in assigned area. Working from programs/project status reports or delivery schedules, checks and verifies data. Investigates inconsistencies. Determines and communicates impacts to affected individuals, and initiates and takes corrective action. Prepares reports and summaries. Replies to inquiries. Draws attention to actual or potential problems and assists in developing solutions. Checks for work correctness. May assist in directing work, assigning and outlining tasks.

Required Skills:
  • Monitor, track, and move parts as required through the production flow to ensure timely delivery to next production location
  • Coordinating physical movement of parts through inspection, stock rooms, purchasing, production resources or any applicable work center.
  • Ensure parts are handled and protected properly and within specifications
  • Work with the planning, engineering, and production teams to ensure our MRP data is and remains clean and accurate
  • Analyze available data and develop metrics as required to drive optimal results
  • Work with production personnel to ensure metric goals are understood
  • Work with production supervisors and managers to ensure all metrics driven action requirements are completed
  • Develop and maintain reports to highlight needs, deliverables and constraints as required for internal and customer use
  • Communicate part status and estimated completion dates to leadership weekly
  • Assist production leadership and project teams with action item updates as required
  • Support logistics process through innovative staging of workflow as required
  • Support management of material certifications as required – prevent use of un-certified materials
  • Support production and inventory personnel with “return to stock” and inventory purge actions
  • Support projects or productivity development activities within assigned production cells
  • Support assigned production cells with work order management activities as required
  • 2 years of experience supporting manufacturing processes
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong computer skills, familiar with the full suite of MS Office products
  • This role is for 2nd shift working hours are 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm PST. Must be able to wok overtime, and weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance within 1 year of the start date.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of general manufacturing processes including mechanical assembly, circuit card assembly, and testing operations.
  • Experience in organizing files and documents
  • Knowledge of MRP systems
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic manufacturing environments
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree: Engineering, Business, or other Degree combined with related work experience in Program Management
