Systems Integrator Technical Specialist/Governance

Responsibilities:

Responsible for translating the client’s business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture. Acts as an advocate for the client as the ultimate authority on the architecture designed to address client business problems. Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains enterprise-wide solutions to total system or subsystems using internally created and/or off the shelf products. Analyzes and identifies all or part of a company's existing or new peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Provides direction for design activities. Often project-based, sometimes working at customer sites.

Specific Job Description:

The Systems Integrator will support the Sponsor’s organization in establishing an overall Group governance process to include a Group-level requirements management and de-confliction board. This includes providing governance support, requirements triage, facilitation, and other types of general Configuration Management support. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist in the creation and coordination process of all boards through maintenance of policies, decisoin-making structures, charters, etc.
  • Ensure the governance process is introduced and implemented according to guidelines from the process owner;
  • Provide technical consultation, facilitation, and administrative support to the Sponsor component’s governance process and boards.
  • Maintenance and continuous process improvement of the process, working methods and tools.
  • Facilitate governance meetings, enter/update configuration tracking information in appropriate databases, develop board agendas, notify meeting attendees, and enter board-related data in appropriate databases.
  • Define and capture requirements by interacting with stakeholders and subsequently conducting independent research and analysis of information in preparation for meetings; seek information from Sponsor organization and/or external stakeholders to provide background and other necessary data to support decision-making; follow up to ensure meeting material is ready for review in advance of meetings.
  • Create and maintain Sponsor’s content for branding/messaging of board and governance activities. Update, maintain, and operate information sites/websites wherever content is hosted.
  • Plan and coordinate program management process activities and leverage experience to recommend streamlined and efficient business processes—to include development of standard operation procedures and associated documentation.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • TS/SCI with Poly clearance required
  • Working knowledge of Sponsor's mission and other stakeholders' missions
  • Process-oriented, conceptually driven; ability to work collaboratively in a highly technical setting
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience coordinating and working action items to completion
  • Organizational, collaboration, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively complete tasks
  • Proven ability to multi-task; self-starter
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills to include briefings/presentations, planning and facilitating meetings and providing support for technical documentation
  • Critical-thinking skills sufficient to make sound and timely recommendations and/or decisions in unique situations, considering alternate actions
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field*
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience
  • Demonstrated experience integrating/implementing SharePoint (or other collaboration tools) applications and functionality
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

*Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD.

Desired:

  • Minimum 15 years' experience, plus 3 or more years supporting Sponsor
  • Knowledge of Jira
  • Experience using Jira to establish business workflows
  • Knowledge of Confluence for interacting with developers
