Systems Engineer Technical Specialist

The Intelligence group provides high-end systems engineering and integration products and services, data analytics and software development to national and military intelligence customers. Responsibilities

The individual selected for this position will support the Customer providing systems engineering support. Specifically the position will provide technical support to a multi-stakeholder effort focused upon identifying operational and technological gaps, critical activities, and duplicative capabilities within the community. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

· Evaluating, identifying and extracting new data threads from multiple data sources and reporting the findings.

· Establishing data handling parameters derived from the data sources.

· Documenting results and preparing new requirements drawn from the findings

· Interact with data scientists and policy holders to develop new processes and methods

· Collaborate with other stakeholder to determine relevancy and priority of leads as well as identify capability gaps.

Qualifications

· Must understand the principals of encryption, information-mining, telecommunications analytic tools, and packet-based networks (to include network architecture of public and private networks).

· Knowledge of a variety of file types such as audio and video files, CAD files, database files, and XML files and associated technologies

· Knowledge of mobile devices, Internet communications, and electronic media

· Experience creating automated visualizations with Gephi, GraphViz, NodeXL, Cytoscape

· Experience with SQL, Hadoop, or other DBMS.

· Experience in using programming languages, such as Python and Java.

· Previous experience converting data into actionable objectives.

· Strong analytic, writing, and briefing skills

· Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD.

· TS/SCI with poly clearance required
