TheSystem Engineer, Senior will applylaws, policies, directives, and guidance to acquisitions throughout the totallife-cycle. The System Engineer, Seniorprovides systems engineering (SE) support to assess and oversee the technicalrequirements, design, development, and implementation for those systems underthe purview of the Marine Corp Recruiting Command (MCRC).

Duties andResponsibilities:

  • Conductrequirements analysis, design, development, performance measurement,verification and validation, certification and accreditation, deployment,change management, and transition by applying a broad and deep set ofengineering expertise.
  • Conductanalysis of various database structures and links and develop singular or multipledatabases capable of populating data to meet the contractual needs of the USMarine Corps MCRISS program.
  • Performdata migration from various client databases into a consolidated database.
  • Analyzefunctional business applications and design specifications for functionalactivities.
  • Employknowledge of client-server and internet systems architectures
  • Supportcontract procurement planning, solicitation, award, and monitoring activities.
  • Otherduties as assigned

MinimumQualifications: (Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’sDegree required with 5+ years of experience with systems engineering support,including:
    • Requirementsdefinitions
    • Architecturedevelopment
    • Otherprogram support.
    • Additionalexperience may be used in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+years’ experience at installing, configuring, and integrating Cisco FirepowerThreat Defense and associated software with F5 BIG-IP devices in a hybrid cloudenvironment.
  • Possessdemonstrated work experience with more than one relational database managementsystem.
  • ValidDoD 8570/8140 IAT II or IAM II certificate.
  • Abilityto obtain Secret Clearance
    • Secret Clearance preferred

Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities:

  • Abilityto meet security clearance requirements
  • 3+years (preferred) experience with database development.
  • 1+years’ experience with Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, and Steel Cloud highly preferred.
  • USNavy networking experience preferred.
  • Broadand deep set of engineering expertise.
  • Possesssignificant knowledge and experience with database procedure languages: MySQL,T-SQL, etc.
  • Understandcomplex database concepts as well as the implications of different databasedesigns
  • Strongcommunications skills (both written and oral)
  • Strongcustomer service and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Abilityto listen and understand what is being described by the end user as well as theability to explain problem resolutions when necessary.
  • Abilityto work independently without direct supervision or guidance.
  • Abilityto occasionally work after hours and/or on-call support.

  • The employee will normally work ina temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure toelectronic office equipment.
  • During visits to areas ofoperations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborneparticles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
