Systems Engineer (Mobility), Level 5

Overview

The Mobility Systems Engineer (SE) candidate will provide systems engineering support for the implementation and execution of architecture and standards, systems engineering integration, evaluation and requirements analysis to assist a customer that advocates and facilitates interoperability, commonality, modernization and integration with Cellular and Wireless networks. The SE candidate will provide analysis and recommendations to the customer organizations partners, system engineers, and management in support of advocacy, facilitation, development and cataloging of current efforts underway in many IC and non-traditional partners. A successful candidate will also provide SE services to assess and determine solutions for emerging technologies; and support migration and analysis of technology and research efforts. The SE candidate will define, review, propose and develop process improvements for the SE and categorization of this technology to support Government wide efforts. They will synchronize and coordinate the research, development, and continued improvement of many capabilities to ensure alignment with IC efforts.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship is required

Active Top Secret Clearance with a polygraph is required

 

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of overall System Engineering experience is required
    • (Note: A Master’s degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience, bring the total to thirteen (13) years of experience)
  • A Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
    • (Note: A high school diploma or GED plus twenty-four (24) years of Systems Engineering experience would also be acceptable)
  • Understand wireless communications and concepts, and interface with several different groups / agency personnel as well as their own team to reach consensus

Individual Capabilities/ Experience Desired: 

  • Experience in collaborating with peer organizations to overcome barriers to success and create shared solutions
  • Be a self-starter willing to work in a flexible environment
  • Cellular or Wireless Communications Systems
