Systems Engineer - TS/SCI w/poly *10K SIGN-ON BONUS*

Jacobs is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a prime contract in our Columbia, MD office. Responsibilities may include:
  • Provide engineering analysis and support to the client deploying a commercial-off-the-shelf desktop application deployed throughout the enterprise
  • Test, develop and update user documentation and other system-related artifacts
  • Interact on a regular basis with the client, COTS vendor, and team members
  • Provide status weekly and monthly for work performed per contract
  • Work with external teams to support the integration of the selected applications
  • Generate alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions
  • Define the methods, processes, and evaluation criteria by which the systems, subsystems and work products are verified against their requirements in a written plan
  • Develop system design solution that satisfies the system requirements and fulfills the functional analysis
  • Participate in establishing and gaining approval of the definition of a system or component under development (requirements, designs, interfaces, test procedures, etc.) that provides a common reference point for hardware and software developers.

Basic Qualifications:
  • BS degree in a computer or system science discipline from an accredited college or university and ten (10) to fourteen (14) years of progressive, relevant experience, or an MS degree in a computer or system science discipline and eight (8) to twelve (12) years of progressive experience, or a Ph.D. degree in a computer or system science discipline and four (4) to seven (7) years of progressive experience. Requires demonstrated technical expertise in engineering systems design and analysis.
  • Knowledge of developing systems engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plan, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications and Interface Control Documents
  • Knowledge of Basic Information Assurance Mechanisms (e.g., Identification, Authentication, Access Control, Accountability) and Security Mechanism Technology (Passwords, cryptography, discretionary access control, mandatory, access control, hashing, key management, etc.)
  • IAT Level II DoD 8570 (Security+)
  • Active TS/SCI with a current polygraph
Desired Qualifications:
  • Broad understanding of PKI, PKE Applications
  • Experience integrating enterprise GOTS/COTS products
  • Understanding of system security and cyber security, and system architecture
