CACI National and Cyber Solutions is looking for an experienced, innovative, and eager Systems Engineer to join an Agile software development team supporting an Intelligence Community customer. Duties and Responsibilities:

The Systems Engineer will utilize technical expertise and high self-direction and motivation to ensure that the team’s new software efforts are released successfully to the customer.

  • Work onsite in support of an Agile Software Development team that has numerous concurrent efforts ongoing at any given time.
  • Work with the project leads to get all projects through our customer’s software release process and be the primary interface with the CTA team.
  • Monitor and update the Software Delivery Matrix and provide weekly versions to the Task lead.
  • Use knowledge of good development and configuration management practices during various engineering phases
  • Leverage knowledge and/or experience with software development
  • Experience creating and editing documentation such as requirements documentation, concepts of operation, software release notes, user guides, and maintenance manuals
  • Participate and support integration, test, and deployment of the software baseline.
  • Prepare for and participate in customer control gates such as Preliminary/Critical Design Reviews, System Requirement Reviews, Pre-Ship Review, and on-site in briefings
  • Communicate with the DevOps team to ensure successful software deployments
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) processes, policies and guidance
  • Assist the development team with software integration activities
  • Work independently and proactively

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:  

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field or substantive training and experience in this area, as well as, have at least 3 years of experience in developing software applications
  • Experience working with Agile software development teams
  • Experience with Certification and Testing Authority processes
  • 1 – 3 years of Systems Engineering experience
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) processes, policies and guidance (ICD 503)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills necessary to function within a team environment
  • Position requires a TS/SCI; Candidate will be required to obtain a Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CSP aka CI poly) shortly after contract start
  • Experience developing analytic applications for an IC organization (on a secured network)
  • Interest in and knowledge of data science tools and techniques (R, Shiny)
