Brief Description

LinQuest Corporation is seeking a Systems Cyber Security Lead to join our team at the Los Angeles AFB, CA.

 

You will work on the systems engineering and integration (SE&I) contract in support of the US Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), Launch Enterprise Systems Directorate (SMC/LE).  This effort includes overarching integration of launch and range programs which will require interfacing with both the EELV and any future SMC/LE launch systems.

 

SMC/LE is the guardian of assured access: launching when and where the nation needs it. SMC/LE's mission also includes mission assurance and launch safety. 

 

The position is full time on-site at Los Angeles Air Force Base (LAAFB) and requires an active TS/SCI clearance.  You will work onsite, co-located and closely integrated with the Government Customer.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating and updating the EELV Program Protection Plan (PPP), Counterintelligence Support Plan (CISP) and the Operations Security Plan (OPSEC) and Security Classification Guide (SCG), IAW DoDI 5200.39, DoDI 5200.1-M, AFI 31-401, and National Security Space (NSS) Acquisition Policy Interim guidance for DoD Space System Acquisition process
  • Providing technical assessments and delivering LE program documents including SIS, SPRD, CPD, RFPs, Acquisition Strategy, DD-254s for compliance with Critical Program Information (CPI), OPSEC, INFOSEC, Industrial Security, Anti-terrorism, and other program protection requirements IAW the PPP and provide a detailed assessment of EELV impacts
  • Evaluating and providing technical analysis of LSP's Program Protection Implementation Plans (PPIPs) and the plan’s effectiveness. Products include but are not limited to Program Protection Surveys and recommendations for corrective action
  • Evaluating LVC proposed security waivers and deviations, and perform security assessments IAW the applicable system contract, acquisition plan, SCG, and the PPP
  • delivering a security assessment on requests for information from AF, DoD, US USG, public and foreign USGs IAW the EELV SCG and PPP
  • Developing and presenting documentation (including proposed actions and potential impacts) associated with the Quarterly EELV System Security Working Group (SSWG)
  • Developing, storing and managing applicable security documentation in the LE Security Library on Livelink/Sharepoint IAW the LE file plan, AFMAN 37-104, AFMAN 37-123, and AFI 37-138
  • Evaluating and updating the SMC/LE Security Operating Instruction (SOI)
  • Evaluating LE internal security documentation and providing recommendations to support systems security and cybersecurity self-inspections and AF-level Inspections
  • Supporting SMC/LE personnel security activities including clearance checks, visit requests, badging, system access forms, area access forms, entry access lists, etc. via Joint Personnel Adjudication System
  • Supporting physical security including Random Antiterrorism Measures (RAM) activities and end of day security checks, and COMSEC/SVRO
  • Supporting SMC/LE security training, i.e. develop annual security briefing, newcomer security briefings, etc
  • Supporting ITAR assessments
Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Proficient knowledge of security operations (PERSEC, Physical Security, OPSEC, etc)
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Clear and concise written, verbal communications and presentation skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations and options to the customer
  • Ability to coordinate with numerous stakeholders/customers from DoD agencies to commercial industry
  • Knowledgeable in the use and application of MS Office suite – specifically project, word and excel

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Possess cyber security related certifications
  • Understanding of launch certification and readiness assessments
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to learn and adapt to the use of new tools that may be used in future LE activities

 

Required Experience: 

  • 10+ years’ experience as a security professional
  • Prior experience in one or more of the areas listed in the job description
  • High school degree minimum
  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance to be considered for this position

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with military and other government security representatives, and FFRDC (e.g. Aerospace) representatives
  • Undergraduate degree; technical
