Systems/Application Administrator

Job Description

CACI is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator(SA)/DOMEX Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our DoD client in Charlottesville, VA and at other CONUS and OCONUS locations, as required. In this role you'll act as an emerging expert and member of an experienced support team working in a fast-paced and agile environment, the SA/DOMEX SME helps support the daily operations of DOMEX activities at CONUS and deployed OCONUS (to include hazardous duty and austere condition locations) areas around the world. The SA/DOMEX SME briefs varying levels of military and government leadership and personnel on program related matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Consult with customers on operational and technical aspects of the DOMEX program for their respective Area of Responsibilities.
  •  Coordinate, prepare, deploy, and serve as lead trainer for workshops held at Combatant Commands (CCMD), IC partners, and Services at CONUS and OCONUS locations as required.
  •  Maintain continuity with partner organizations to ensure data sharing and awareness of DOMEX policies & guidelines.
  •  Prepare and provide familiarization briefings and assessments to U.S. national and foreign intelligence consumers, the Intelligence Community, DoD, and other US government officials across the intelligence community.
  •  Apply research and analysis techniques to discover, identify, and report on Captured Enemy Material (CEM) in response to DOMEX Requests for Information (RFI).
  •  Support cross-domain data transfer and ingestion into DOMEX systems.
  •  Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  •  Reviews performance logs and monitors system performance.
  •  Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance
  •  Work with internal and external technical staff to troubleshoot and resolve system hardware, software and communications problems.
  •  Ensure integrity of servers through evaluation, implementation, and management of appropriate software and hardware solutions.
  •  Ensure data and media recoverability though system backups and database archive operations.
  •  Support media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services.
  •  Conduct routine hardware and software audits of servers for compliance with established standards, policies, procedures and configuration guidelines.
  •  Perform regular file archival and purge, as necessary.
  •  Create, change, and delete user accounts, per request.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active DOD TS/SCI (Requires the successful completion of a CI Polygraph)
  • DoD 8570 (IAT II) Compliant (e.g. Security+)
  • The ability to deploy OCONUS (to include hazardous duty and austere condition locations) for 6 – 12+ months, as needed.
  • Practical working knowledge of networking (including DNS/WINS/DHCP)
  • Experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting Windows Server operating systems, e.g. Windows 2012 R2
  •  The ability to deploy OCONUS (to include hazardous duty and austere condition locations) for 6 – 12+ months, as needed.
