Systems Analyst II IRES - SAFB

This Systems Analyst II is part of the Ballistic Missile Defense Systems (BMDS) Exercises and Wargames team. This position maintains smooth operation of multi‐user computer systems, includingcoordination with network administrators. Interacts with users and evaluatesvendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software,coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitorspolicies and standards for allocation related to the use of computingresources. Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and serviceaccounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance,installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. Will beresponsible for loading and supporting required system software including: Microsoft Office 2016, additional productsin the Microsoft suite of software, test applications and GOTS (Government Off The Shelf) Software, and COTS(Customer Off The Shelf). Responsibilities include ensuring system software installs, maintenance, break fixactivities, as well as executing cyber security initiatives and sustainment are done in accordance with establishedpolicies, procedures and service level agreements.


Requirements: Experience must consist of: High schooldiploma or GED with 8 years’ general work experience OR Associate’s degree and6 years’ general work experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 4 years’ generalexperience; 4 years’ related experience must be in related business systems,operating systems, and servers and/or experience in light programming, projectmanagement of small initiatives, and troubleshooting. The candidate must have at least one of thefollowing certifications Security+ plus CE, Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), GIACSecurity Essentials Certification (GSEC) or Certified Information SystemsSecurity Professional (CISSP). Ability to multi‐task in a dynamic and fast‐pacedenvironment, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, work wellin a team environment, have strong interpersonal skills and have a positive,can do attitude. Experience with: WSUS and SCCM, and remote administration and ActiveDirectory. Professional hands‐on experience in design, implementation andtroubleshooting of the following technologies: Microsoft Windows ComputingEnvironments, knowledge in/with DISA and SHB imaging standards. Able to obtainDoD Interim Secret Security Clearance, followed by Secret Security Clearance.Must be willing to travel CONUS and/or OCONUS approx. 10‐15% of the time.

The successful candidate will be assigned as an employee forJacobs or one of the following teammates companies: HX5, GCS, ERC, MEIT orAerodyne.

Desired: Experience with communication networks(MDACNet, DISN, SIPRNet). Experience with Linux RedHat and other operationplatforms outside of Microsoft is a plus. Familiar with architecture supportingMission Partner Environments (MPE). Experience installing, patching, configuring andtroubleshooting Windows servers and workstations including associated peripherals. Experience with DISAAssured Compliance Assessment Solution 2 (ACAS) tool used in scanning and remediating computer systemvulnerabilities. Experience resolving hardware & software conflicts and perform server maintenance and break/fixactivities. Familiarity with operating within a virtualized environment such as VMWare. DoD networking experience withclassified data networks and strong grasp of red/black concepts and IA compliance. PowerShell scriptingexperience. Software license management experience to include license tracking, purchasing, ownership, andrenewals. Understanding of D‐D/DISA STIGs and how toset policies to enable.
