Systems Administrator Sr

Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION: This sub family is responsible for overall network engineering support for a broad range of programs including planning, designing, and evaluating various components of the network. Duties may include providing specifications for network architecture, evaluating and recommending new technologies to enhance current capabilities, and performing needs assessments. Support level duties may include monitoring, installation, modification, testing and servicing of network equipment. IMPACT: Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables. Responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area. Typically responsible for coaching and reviewing the work of lower level technical staff. COMPLEXITY: Develops technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses and understanding of impact on end-product/solution. Develops solutions to technical problems and issues that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge. COMMUNICATION: Communicates with internal and client project team members. Works to influence team members regarding solution design, process and/or approaches. LEADERSHIP & TALENT MANAGEMENT: KNOWLEDGE: Requires deep understanding of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of technical domain and has broad understanding of other related specialty areas. TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires BS and 4 � 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 � 6 years of prior relevant experience. EFFECTIVE DATE: 01/02/2016
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience performing operating system configuration and deployment, application management, and/or desktop management using replication technologies; - Experience in applying vendor/OEM patches and fixes using standard tools such as MS SCC - DHS experience - Security+ certification - MCSA or MCITP certification - knowledge/experience ITSM tools - experience in Agile development teams Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
