Summary:
The Administrator Senior will have primary responsibility forsupporting an operational mission critical system from the St. Louis area. The Systems Administrator will work closelywith both local and remote users, as well as both contractor and Governmentteams.
Duties andResponsibilities:
- Serveas a systems administrator, representing the needs of the O&S team.
- Collaboratewith development and engineering teams.
- Performsystem backups and recovery.
- Maintaindata files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity.
- Installnew software releases and system upgrades, to evaluate and install patches, andto resolve system related problems.
- Conduct Tier 2 & 3 Server Administration.
- Resolve a wide range of system issues, troubleshooting software, hardware, and network issues, and addressing trouble tickets and service tasks.
- Assist with achieving optimum performance and availability standards through implementing appropriate technical solutions.
- Conduct routine and emergency maintenance of all system elements.
- Design & deploy Windows and Linux servers, with an emphasis on Linux.
- Design, implement, and maintain critical system monitoring components (3rd party tools and custom scripts).
- Troubleshoot alerts generated by a server monitoring.
- Read, modify, and generally develop bash scripts for monitoring and/or automation as necessary.
- Communicate/coordinate scheduled PM windows with potentially impacted customers.
- Communicate/coordinate scheduled authorized outages.
- Lead continuous improvement and sustainment optimization efforts associated with a continuous improvement philosophy.
- Maintain operational, configuration, and other standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in the troubleshooting of system issues internally and coordinate efforts with third party providers and other operational support entities.
- Collaborate and contribute to the development, administration, and testing of backup and recovery plans.
- Schedule activities and/or meetings.
- Interpret and discuss information which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many.
- Provide advice and recommend actions involving complex issues.
- Train, instruct, and possibly evaluate performance.

MinimumQualifications: (Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.)
- Bachelor'sDegree required.
- Additionalrelevant experience can be used in lieu of the degree requirement.
- 5+years of relevant system administration experience required, with an emphasison Linux.
- Mustobtain DoD 8570 Level II Compliance within 90 days of hire

- Abilityto obtain TS/SCI and pass CI Poly.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to function as a team member, lead, and independently.
- StrongRed Hat Linux skills desired.
- RHCSAor higher certification desired.

- Extensivescripting experience desired.
- Networkingexperience desired.
- Atlassiansuite experience desired.
- Experience serving as the primary O&S interface to the customer desired.

- The employee will normally work ina temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronicoffice equipment.
- During visits to areas ofoperations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborneparticles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
