The Defense Group at Leidos, has a dynamic opportunity for a Sr. Systems Administrator within the Airborne Solutions Division located in Manassas, VA. As the Sr. Systems Administrator, you will support a Multi-Intelligence Airborne ISR platform with re-configurable sensor packages that include multi-level security networks, Virtual Machines, SATCOM, SIGINT, EO/IR Cameras, High Resolution Digital Mapping, Hyper Spectral Imaging, Synthetic Aperture Radar and Dismounted/Ground Moving Target Indicator.

Primary Responsibilities
•Provide sustainment of Mission Equipment Payloads while developing extensive knowledge of these specialized sensor systems.
•Proficient in the operation of Linux and Windows Servers in a Virtual Machine environment.
•Follow procedures for recording system deficiencies with ability to resolve in an expedient fashion
•Support a complex system of systems by resolving “first” occurrences that requires an understanding of a broader set of issues, system operations and analysis to resolve.
•Communicate with internal and external organizations including multiple customer organizations, sensor OEMs, and engineering staff.
•Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the MEP system and ability to resolve complex problems and routine maintenance issues.
•Provide fault isolation/resolution, launch and recovery support, account management, support the installation of patches and conduct security scans as required.
•Support the repair, reconfiguration, and installation of mission equipment hardware, software and associated interfaces.
•Maintain an Airborne Enterprise IT System with both standalone and SATCOM Network configurations.

Basic Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below.
•Requires a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience allowed in lieu of a degree.
•Current Security+ Certification
•Must have an active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance
•Basic knowledge of firewall maintenance and networking.
•Technical background in SIGINT, IMINT or Communications Electronic Systems operations and maintenance involving virtual network environments, Active Directory (AD), Microsoft workstations, servers, and cabling.
•Basic knowledge of, and ability to apply technical principles, theories, and concepts to network and avionics mission systems.
•Troubleshooting skills with experience using relevant test equipment
•25% CONUS travel required
•Ability to support Flight Operations on the Day or Night shift

Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration
•Server+/ MCSA
•CM software experience (Puppet preferred)
•Prior experience with airborne sensor support
•IT experience supporting ISR systems
•Prior experience with airborne networking support (LOS/BLOS/SATCOM)
•Former program experience in: RC-135, P-8, MC-130, 160th SOAR
•Army job experience: 35T, 25S, 25B, 25P / Navy ET, and IT
•Experience with HAIPE encryption devices, (KGs) and simple key loaders (SKL).
