Systems Administrator
Hohenfels, Germany
Secret Clearance is required

1. Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of servers and computers running on one or more operating systems.
2. Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.
3. Sets up administrator and service accounts.
4. Maintains system and server documentation.

5. Interacts with users, other administrators, and external technical support services.
6. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
7. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
8. Be able to program in an administrative language.
9. Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.
10. Provides advice and training to end-users.
11. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. 
12. Participates in special projects as required.
13. Strong customer service skills.
14. Strong work ethic.
15. Strong hardware/software troubleshooting skills.
16. Understanding of distribution lists, security groups, nested groups.
17. Intermediate understanding of network troubleshooting: Ping, ipconfig, tracert.

18. May assist in leading the Help Desk team while working on other systems related responsibilities.

19. Willing to explore and learn additional technologies as required by the program.

20. Position may involve lifting heavy objects, repetitive actions and/or sitting for long periods of time. 


Key Skills:

MS Exchange 2016.

Familiar with MS SQL.

Familiar with Active Directory and Group Policy.


Additional Skills (A plus to have):

Familiar with VMware/ESXI.

Familiar with Print Server Management.

Familiar with Microsoft WSUS server.

Familiar with scripting in PowerShell.

Familiar with systems imaging via Microsoft Deployment Toolkit.

Familiar with SharePoint 2013 and 2016.


Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.



5 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis

1. Must possess a US security clearance at the secret level and be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI level clearance.
2. Must obtain ITIL Foundation certification within 90 days of hire.
3. Be DOD 8570 IAT Level II Compliant. (Security +CE or above).
4. Must obtain a computing environment certification within 6 months of hire.
5. Contingent upon Award of German TESA.
