Systems Administrator

The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as aSystem Administratorbased out of Aurora, CO.
What You'll get to Do:
This system administrator will primarily be responsible for responding to tickets submitted by users of a laboratory environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Deploy weekly patch updates to Linux and Windows machines
    Deploy, manage, maintain, and support Microsoft Windows (7 and Server 2012) virtual machines
  • Deploy, manage, maintain, and support Linux RedHat (6 and 7) and CentOS virtual machines
  • Configure user access to VMs and VM pools within VMWare vSphere
  • Create user accounts and administer user privileges within active directory
  • Assist users with debugging and resolving identified issues within their virtual machines
  • Respond to monitored alerts to quickly identify trouble source and implement resolution
  • Assist with implementation of automated processes or functions to improve daily operations as directed
  • Assist with implementation of technical security technology and IT projects as directed
  • Collaborate in authoring system documentation and procedures
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and take responsibility for completing assignments on time.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with a geographically separated team

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 years' experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • A technical certification - COMP TIA Security +, A+ MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, VCP-DC or other virtualization or related disciplines.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph
  • Background in Linux (RedHat/CentOS/RHEL) administration.
  • Background in Windows administration.
  • Experience with VMware
  • Experience with Active Directory.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Experience with implementing infrastructures within Amazon Web Services
  • Security+CE certification
  • Experience with supporting DevOps including use of tools such as Jira and Jenkins
  • Experience with automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
  • Splunk
  • ACAS
  • App Detective
