Our team is looking for a Systems Administrator to focus on the development and administration of software baselines supporting critical Army aerial sensor missions. You will be responsible for deploying and configuring software releases to development, test and operational environments. You will also be responsible for maintaining these systems, configuring both operating systems and software products, as well as installing required software patches and security updates for the systems. In addition, you may provide assistance during test and integration events by resolving system problems, providing system backups, and performing system maintenance. You will have the opportunity to participate in real-world, cutting edge systems which are changing how Army ISR systems develop, sustain, and deploy software.
Required Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Mathematics
• 5+ years’ experience working as a Systems Administrator of Windows or Unix based servers and systems
• 5+ years’ experience using and performing system administrative for Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory and Red Hat Linux
• Must possesses a DoD 8570 Certification (Security+, CISSP, etc.)
• Experience performing software installs, configures, and troubleshoots computer networks and associated components and provides technical assistance to users
• Performs configuration of hardware devices and software components, system back-up, restore, and initialization
• Monitors system configuration, server event log, servers, networks and SAN for performance
• Possesses knowledge and experience in TCP/IP, information security, user authorization and system administration of Windows and Unix based servers and networks
• Participates in the design, installation and administration of local networks using multiple protocols and various computer systems
• Installs, upgrades and administers operating systems and application software in multi-user client/server environments
• Provides users with network technical support by responding to IT helpdesk issues.
• Excellent communications, problem-solving and coordination skills
• This position requires the selected candidate to hold an active Department of Defense TS/SCI level security clearance, which requires US citizenship while working in support of a government contract.
