The System Administrator 2 / Cybersecurity will demonstrate the following capabilities: 

Monitors and maintains mission critical IT systems throughout Europe. Diagnose, identify, isolate, analyze, and resolve technical problems and answers queries by telephone or ticketing system in support of internal and/or outside customer computer hardware, software, network, system/application access, and telecommunications systems. Performs Scans, evaluates results, and schedules system patches, upgrades and changes at the customer site.  The IT System Administrator determines root cause of complex network and system problems.  
 
Job Description:
• Participating in interactions with internal and external clients to define requirements, discuss project progress, and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Travels to various locations within Europe to perform cybersecurity, preventative, and corrective maintenance on mission critical information systems.
• Performs workstation and service maintenance to include scanning, updates, upgrades, and hardware replacements.
• Updates, upgrades, and securely configures operating systems in accordance with the latest DISA STIGs and IAVA/IAVMs including MS Windows of various versions and various Linux distributions/versions. 
• Identifies systems issues that cannot be resolved during routine maintenance and develops courses of action for resolution.
• Researches new technologies to fully understand implementation requirements and implications for integration with other systems.
• Produces required documentation such as client communication, proposals and user instructions. Troubleshooting and debugging increasingly complex network problems, making recommendations for improved operational efficiency, repair, replacement or upgrades.
• Perform network scanning and perform security upgrades, patches, STIGs, and checklists on network infrastructures. 
• Performs configuration management on IT systems, including network drawing development, inventory tracking, and warranty tracking.
• Develops, maintains and performs work in accordance with preventative maintenance checklists.
Due to DoD Contract requirements, only US Citizens who currently hold a minimum Secret Security Clearance may apply to this position.
 
Job Requirements: 
The incumbent must have between five (3) and five (5) years of experience implementing various network technologies and end-user support.  
• Experienced in the scanning, patching, and upgrading of complex and critical IT Systems, Services, and Network Components.
• Experienced in the operation and maintenance of MS Windows Operating System, MS Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Certificate Services, WSUS, Anti-Virus, and Backup Systems. 
• Working knowledge of at least two (2) of the following systems:  Unix/Linux, Cisco IOS, PAN-OS and Windows Server.
• Working knowledge of scanning systems, DISA STIGs, SCAP Scans, and STIG Checklists.
• Working knowledge of  Cisco routers, switches and wireless
• Working knowledge of Server Class PC hardware such as Compaq, HP, IBM or Dell and workstation/desktop class hardware such as Dell
• Understanding LAN/WAN medias and protocols
 
Experience vs Education matrix requirement:
2 to 4 years with BS/BA
4 to 6 years with AS 
6 to 8 years with HS/GED
 
Specific desired experience, skills and certifications are as follows:
Knowledge of network technologies: LAN, WAN, SNMP, STP, HSRP, VRRP, VSS, GRE, IPsec, NHRP, DNS, QoS, BGP, OSPF, 802.1x, MPLS.
Knowledge of platform technologies: Microsoft Windows Server 2016, Microsoft Windows 10, SQL Server, WSUS, System Upgrades, Patching, Active Directory, Group Policy, Configuration Management. 
Desired Microsoft, CCNA, CCNP, or related network certifications
Desired Security+
Strong teamwork skills and leadership abilities.
