System Engineer


The candidate will be responsible for ensuring data has proper smart data tagging and is in appropriate data formats, provide daily operational support, and develop software scripts to optimize the data flow. In addition, provide technical recommendations to meet SIGINT processing requirements and research SIGINT solutions. The candidate will also manage, document, and track software requirements, provide dataflow optimization, and monitor all data received.


U.S. Citzenship is required

All candidates must have an active Top Secret clearance with Polygraph 


  • A minimum of three (3) years Systems Engineering experience with SIGINT systems is required

Required Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of Agency SIGINT formats, particularly SOTF and ASDF

  • Dataflow/NiFi experience

  • Proficient in LINUX

  • Within the last five (5) years, a minimum of three (3) years experience in 3 of the following:

    • (NOTE: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications or related field may be substituted for experience in one (1) specialization and one (1) specialization must be Systems Engineering)

      • Signal Analysis

      • Modern Tele-communications System and Networks
      • Telephony Switching System

      • Communications Systems

      • Cellular/Personal Communications Systems

      • TDM/PCM Multiplexing / Modulation /Switching Systems

      • Packet Switching System

      • Systems Engineering

      • Operating Systems

      • Advanced Protocol

  • Within the last five (5) years, a minimum of three (3) years development and integration experience in SIGINT systems
  • Within last three (3) years, a minimum of two (2) years experience with the functionality and inter-processing of packet- and circuit-based HW & SW solutions
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in performing and providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems

  • A minimum of three (3) years experience solving varied technical/scientific problems; and generating and reviewing designs for technical accuracy, completeness and appropriateness in light of objectives, budget, and schedule

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ​Experience with NodeJS
  • ​Scripting background is desired
  • IP Network knowledge preferred
  • ​Experience with Java, MAVEN, and Ansible is desired
  • ​Experience with Agency data formats
  • ​Experience designing dataflows/assessing throughput
  • ​Experience architecting/designing/supporting an architecture dealing with transportation of many files (and formats) to various destinations
  • Some Systems Administration background
