SW Application Developer (FAA)

Responsibilities:

This series covers engineers, professional licensed engineers, scientists, and NAS systems analysts. The series is intended to provide services in support of NAS systems rather than business oriented IT systems. There are NAS support systems that are administrative in
nature that have an active interface to the NAS that may require some of these skills to maintain and engineer the interface. The series is also intended to provide engineering service in support of Air Transportation Support activities for operational locations including facility
maintenance, modification and remediation as well as various levels of equipment repair. R&D support service resources may be specified from this labor category series.

* Responsible to carry out entire SDLC (System Development Lifecycle) process by using agile software development methodologies and practices in which software products are delivered in increments. Software applications are built by using both Microsoft .NET platform as well as a number of scripting languages: JavaScript, VB.NET, C#, XQuery, SQL, and XML. Software packages include MS SharePoint, InfoPath, and Web Services.


* Provide applications development services and support for workflow applications that are custom designed for FAA Emergency Management. The workflow applications will interface data maintained in SharePoint and/or FAA SWIM data sources as well as data maintained within and among the dedicated workflow applications. The Contractor must be involved with and actively support application integration efforts with the Emergency Notification System (ENS) and other FAA systems and databases.


* These workflow applications include both web server and client-side web browser application and mobile application development using such tools as C#, ASP.NET MVC 5, Visual Studio, SignalR, MS Project, DOT MyAccess single sign-on, JavaScript, jQuery, Durandal, Breeze.js, and Bootstrap. The Contractor must gather and compile user requirements and change modifications, create design documents and scope estimates, develop prototype sample applications and production-ready applications, create and operate test scripts (both automated and manual test suites), develop end-user documentation and training documents, and modify the programming code to address changes.


* Other responsibilities that the contractor team performs, related to this task include:


* provide support for C3 Program Office in the development and implementation of Knowledge Management (KM) and Knowledge Sharing (KS) solutions to both FAA 0perations and program management office.


* provide support on the Microsoft collaboration platform, including Windows SharePoint, InfoPath, Google Earth, ESRI ArcGIS Server, Portal, and Earth, and workflow and records management

Qualifications:

Requires 15 years with BS/BA or 10 to 13 years with MS/MA or 7 to 9 years with Ph.D.

Qualifications: Engineering, math, and science degrees are required. When supporting tasks that are Air Traffic Operations, Air Traffic Safety System, Air Traffic Management, Air Traffic Operations Training, Air Traffic Safety System Training, or Air Traffic Management Training, for the Senior and Senior with Special Certification Levels, any combination of degree, certification and relevant experience will be considered if the relevant experience requirement is satisfied.
