Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist

Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist l to join its team of qualified, diverse professionals engaged in supporting dynamic, complex, and challenging programs. This position will be located Huntsville, AL

Job Description

Responsibilities will encompass the full range of the subcontract acquisition process including:

  • Participation in strategic sourcing decisions
  • Capture and proposal activities
  • Teaming agreement generation and execution
  • Evaluating customer request for proposals (RFPs)
  • Preparing RFPs consistent with customer solicitations, federal statutes and regulations, enterprise policies and procedures
  • Evaluating proposal submissions
  • Ensuring that risk and mitigation strategies are identified and developed
  • Developing negotiation plans and leading negotiation teams
  • Preparing post-negotiation documentation and preparing subcontract files in compliance with Northrop Grumman values, policies, procedures, and practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor degree with at least3 years of experience or Masters with at least1 years of domestic and/or international subcontracts/procurement experience. In lieu of formal degree, High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least 7 years of relevant experience.

  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and associated Federal Contracting regulations

  • Ability to collaborate with program management and other multi-functional teams

  • Ability to multi-task and make sound decisions in a timely manner

  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a very fast paced environment

  • Experience with Microsoft Office

  • Able obtain an active secret DoD clearance with ability to maintain.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experiencewith DMS issues related to aging fleets
  • Experience on programs focused on Contractor Logistics Support, Aircraft Maintenance and Modernization turnkey support and 24/7 requirements
  • Experience supporting subcontract activities in a heavily matrixed, geographically-dispersed organization.
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with a Cost Per Flying Hour Program Structure
