Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our products include launch vehicles, propulsion systems, missile products, subsystems and defense electronics, precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition, satellites and space components and services, and advanced aerospace structures.

Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manufacturing Specialist to join our team in Rocket Center, WV, just outside of Cumberland, MD. The Allegany Ballistics Laboratory (ABL) site in Rocket Center designs, develops and manufactures tactical rocket motors, medium caliber ammunition, composite components and end items, and fuze and electronics equipment. For decades, the dedicated and highly skilled team at ABL has supported national security efforts by developing and building defense systems for DoD customers and U.S. allies.

Responsibilities:

Capable of resolving issues using standard tools and procedures.
Capable of working with a moderate level of direction and guidance.
Is well-organized and able to handle multiple tasks with a mindset of continual improvement.
Identify raw material and component requirements for production from engineering and production specifications and schedules.
Generate purchase requisitions to support future build needs.
Provide updates to buyers when schedules change or problems arise.
Track material quality and initiate actions to extend or eliminate expiring material.
Coordinate material movement between warehouse and production areas.
Coordinate with purchasing, production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate quantities of materials are always on hand.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of experience or Master's Degree with 1 year of experience
Experience in Microsoft Office tools.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent follow up.
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisite

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a manufacturing facility or laboratory

This position falls under a Federal Explosives License issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for this location. Candidates hired into this role will be required to complete and submit an Employee Possessor Questionnaire to ATF for approval to be a possessor.
