Supply Chain Business Operations Lead

Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Business Operations professional to join its team. The Supply Chain Business Operations Lead will be a member of the Business Operations Leadership Team supporting one or two Mission Area Directors and their staff of Material Program Mangers while directly reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Business Operations. This individual will lead a broad range of processes on behalf of his/her team both internally and with the greater organization in order to drive overall operational excellence. Primarily, this individual will be responsible for quantitative & qualitative analysis, performance metric reporting, and leading strategic initiatives for the mission area. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a Business Operations Management network, key business partners in Finance and HR, senior level management, and all Supply Chain team members. In this role, you will have overall responsibility for weekly/monthly/quarterly cadence including business management of the project/transformation budget; monitoring of standard processes and deployment of leader standard work across the Material Program Manager organization.

The successful candidate will be experienced in program cost and schedule management and demonstrate the ability to implement processes and methods in accordance with business management systems and leadership decisions. As well as, demonstrated performance in business operations, performance measurement systems, command media, IPDS (program lifecycle management) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and excellent verbal and written communication skills for reports, procedures, and directives.

Additional Responsibilities Include:
  • Coordinating and supporting supply chain deliverables such as weekly/monthly sales forecasts, operational KPIs, EAC performance and risk mitigation of the supply base supporting a Mission Area.
  • Providing guidance on standard RTN processes and tools in support of the Integrated Product Development System (IDPS) lifecycle to include but not limited to Critical Program Reviews, Gate Reviews, Sales and Operations Planning, Proposal Development and Material Program Strategies.
  • Deployment of standard work and process improvements resulting from Transformation projects within the Material Program Manager organization.
  • Preparation of materials for a variety of meetings with Supply Chain, Operations, Mission Assurance and Engineering Leadership
  • Coordination of data calls, working across the supply chain team to provide timely, accurate and complete information to support requests and efforts.
  • Acts as a strategic thought partner in the selection, design, and application of the appropriate tools and methodologies to achieve the desired business outcomes
  • Supports and facilitates idea generation in functions to ensure a pipeline of ongoing projects and pending ideas to align with short and long-term targets
Required Skills:
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a Program / Supply Chain / Operations / Finance / Engineering
  • Proactive, superior attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills
  • Business and financial acumen, strong analytical and problem solving skills, reliability and sound judgment
  • Passion for personal accountability, achievement, learning and continual improvement
  • Ability to articulate complex issues into succinct, cohesive summaries and presentations
  • Proclivity towards teaming and collaboration--must be a team player with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience building Executive briefings; advanced in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Strong project management skills with capability to manage cross functional teams in multiple geographies
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a face paced, dynamic environment with time criticality
  • Experience using business and project management tools and procedures such as IPDS, Risk Management, Financial Forecasts
  • Advanced in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and other Operational Excellence methodologies
  • 5+ years of experience in Aerospace & Defense Industry
  • 5+ years of cross-functional consulting, Project Management, and/or Liaison experience
  • Strong presence with Senior Executives
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to storyline and prepare executive-level discussion documents
  • Excellent conceptual problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to bring structure to vaguely defined problems, pragmatically scope problem solving approach, and manage execution
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytic skills
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to influence different styles
  • Experience as a member of a high performing team
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
