Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:
Designs, implements, and maintains the organization's application systems and/or IT infrastructure for complex systems. Provides an architectural framework for information system development, maintenance, and enhancement efforts. Understands user and process requirements and ensures those requirements can be achieved through high quality deliverables. Works closely with developers and engineers to develop road maps for applications, align development plans, and to ensure effective integration among information systems and the IT infrastructure. Ensures that solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards as well as emerging business requirements. Understands the interactions between systems, applications, and services within the environment, and evaluate the impact of changes or additions for complex systems. Analyzes systems and perform usability testing to ensure performance and reliability, enhance scalability, and meet security requirements. May assist less experienced peers.

Shall coordinate activities with Government and Contractor personnel working on other AMBIANCE TTOs; they may also have to coordinate efforts with Government and Contractor personnel from other contracts/TTOs, as well as other Government efforts and Government Contractors.
Provide the services necessary to provide end user support for GLOBALSTORM, COLLECTIVESTORM, and NANOSTORM software suites inside multiple environments.
Maintain accurate training materials, user guides and provide customer support on an as-needed basis.
Document required and needed improvements to the product to keep the system relevant to changing mission architecture and mission workflows in accordance with Government priority.
Provide customer outreach support for GLOBALSTORM, COLLECTIVESTORM, and NANOSTORM analytic services and capabilities to customer/ analytic user groups in order to respond and constantly adapt to changes in the analytic application.
Ensure that Analytic Service components and services can be used effectively by the end user to include:
Training and documentation of analytic services, components, and capabilities.
Provide troubleshooting support to the application users to support mission.
Provide end-user support via phone, chat, and e-mail for the GLOBALSTORM, COLLECTIVESTORM, and NANOSTORM suites of tools.
Training and documentation support for rapid introduction of new content and metadata to building knowledge and aptitude of end user.
Training and documentation support for new tools, analytics, repositories, and new processes and integrated guidance to evolve workforce skills.
Document and coordinate new customer requirements & implementations, providing effective feedback to maximize use of GLOBALSTORM, COLLECTIVESTORM, and NANOSTORM.
Facilitate problem solving between development and sustainment teams to assist in troubleshooting issues reported by the customer to assist with providing a solution.
Develop working relationship with the end users to utilize product knowledge and customer relationships in support of operational efforts.
Serve as the subject matter expert performing preliminary testing; training other testers on the system, identify and documenting defects and validating defect resolution.
Communicate with respective target offices of primary interest (TOPI) and military units supporting areas of responsibility to ensure that data (ingest/enrichment) and tool suites meet mission requirements.
Function as the operational subject matter expert for Y3D631 leads responsible for all Combatant Command operational support, which includes Central Command (CENTCOM), Africa Command (AFRICOM), Southern Command (SOUTHCOM)/Northern Command (NORTHCOM), European Command (EUCOM), Pacific Command (PACOM), and Korea.
Provide Guidance for effective implementation of GLOBALSTORM, COLLECIVESTORM, and NANOSTORM Target Management processes.
Provide and document input on new capabilities and analytics to integrate with the GLOBALSTORM, COLLECTIVESTORM, and NANOSTORM tool suites and recommend prioritization
Act as a liaison between the SID offices, and the GLOBALSTORM, COLLECTIVESTORM, and NANOSTORM PMO to document and track tasks; provide status reports and recommendations to government leads.
Draft various documents to include operational use cases, proposals for new analytics, analytic and capability roadmap and support documents (DMR) for new ingest. Coordinate, facilitate, and lead technical exchange meetings to solve complex data problems and document solutions.
Participate in operational, technical and testing meetings to assist with requirement process.
Provide input and documentation for future GLOBALSTORM, COLLECTIVESTORM, and NANOSTORM dashboards exercises.
Travel to OCONUS and CONUS sites must be approved by the government in advance 
All personnel must have current USSID-SP0018 Legal Compliance and Minimization Procedures and ECI briefings.

Requires a Bachelor's Degree and six to nine years experience or equivalent education.
