Subcontract Program Manager - Manager III Supply Chain


Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Subcontract Program Manager (SCPM) (Manager III Supply Chain) to join Raytheon’s Domestic/International Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Team in support of Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Programs.


As a member of the IPT Core Execution Team (CET)you’ll report directly to the Patriot Lead Material Program Manager for the BMC4I IPT and be assigned to a Subcontract Management Team(s) (SMT) managing major supplier(s) tasked with building Patriot major end items (MEI) and assemblies.


In this highly visible role, the Subcontract Program Manager is responsible for providing early technical development and subcontract leadership to enable new strategic subcontractors to successfully integrate into IAMD programs and to provide ISC leadership for continued development of the established domestic and international supply base.


As the ideal candidate, you’ll draw from extensive program/subcontract management experience to ensure effective subcontractor execution in alignment with program objectives.You’ll use your strong leadership and collaborative skills, business acumen and technical aptitude in developing solid working relationships with Cross Business Teams, Integrated Product Teams and Program Managers.


Responsibilities will include:

·Management of overall performance of Subcontractor Partners to support the achievement of prime contract technical, schedule, quality and financial performance objectives.

·Management of all interfaces between the Domestic and International Subcontract Partners and the Program.Responsibilities will include leading the Subcontract Management Team in effectively managing supplier capability assessments as well as supplier start up through development and production execution.­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­

·Ensuring quick resolution of technical and programmatic issues by leveraging and integrating the capabilities of the entire organization.



Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Providing the SMT, CET and Program with real-time oversight and surveillance of Subcontract Partner activities in support of the defined contractual requirements.

  • Facilitating critical dialogue and discussion between the Subcontract Partner and members of the SMT, CET and Program.

  • Coordinating activities among Raytheon Supply Chain Managers, Integrated Product Team/Cross Product Team/Program Leads and Engineering. Managing the relationship between subcontract partner staff and Raytheon counterparts.

  • Participating in and contributes to Subcontract Management Reviews and technical meetings and audits.

  • Participating in Subcontract Partner Assessments and audits.

  • Identifying needs for resources and solutions relating to major subcontract/subcontract partner.

  • Identifying risks and opportunities and creating plans to mitigate and realize them.

  • Supporting Material Sales Forecasting and driving performance to Annual Operating Plan.


This position will be located in Andover, MA, and will require extensive travel


U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.



Required Skills:

·10+ years Supply Chain, Program Management or Project Management experience

·Experience managing contracts or subcontracts

·Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

·U.S. Citizenship is required



Desired Skills:

·Experience living and working abroad

·Excellent communication skills

·Working knowledge of export / import regulations e.g. FAR / DFAR

·Certifications in Supply Chain or Program Management

·Experience interfacing with all levels of internal and supplier management

·Experience in Raytheon IPDS, Risk and Opportunity Management, Statement of Work development

·Demonstrated ability to understand financial information, budgets, program performance and develop strategies to improve performance in these areas.

·Skilled in change management and organizational effectiveness

·Strong analytical abilities, ability to plan, control and direct activities and resources related to planning and scheduling

·Experienced in various business models and contract types

·Experience usingPDM and PRISM

·Exemplary verbal and written communication skills, ability to listen well and communicate effectively with others. Strong presentation and organizational skills; keen attention to detail

·Ability to build and maintain effective relationships based on mutual respect with peers, customers and team members

·Secret Security Clearance

·EVMS certified

·Advanced degree in Business or Engineering
