JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Configuration Management & Integrated Design Check (CM&IDC) Department, in the Whole Life Systems Engineering (WLSE) Directorate, is seeking a Technical Data Package (TDP) Workflow Manager to drive/oversee the Electrical/Mechanical Technical Data Package (TDP) delivery on a production program (or other project).
The WLSE directorate’s charter is to provide superior mission support and data integrity through innovation, collaboration, accountability, and flawless execution throughout the product life cycle, resulting in best value solutions. Our responsibilities include minimizing the total cost of ownership through engineering upfront planning and decision analysis related to product reliability, maintainability, supportability, safety and environmental impacts to our customers. It also includes the operational aspects of mission support such as field and technical support, design verification, repairs and spares management, and program management support. WLSE is also responsible for configuration management and configuration verification, including software configuration management, as well as data management. Our purpose is to be the provider of innovative affordable engineering solutions for product life cycle assurance and support to ensure customer satisfaction.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for overseeing the Electrical/Mechanical Technical Data Package (TDP) delivery/release for various programs projects (workflow progression and task prioritization).
Work in unison with each program IPTL, program engineering principals (REA’s, drafting, Chief Engineers, etc.), WLSE support personnel (Configuration Management for CCB and cPDM coordination, Integrated Design Check, etc.), as well as collaboration initiatives across other Raytheon business units. Daily monitoring and reporting of each TDP and its individual elements through each phase of the release cycle is required.

Responsibilities will include providing general direction to documentation owners (IPTLs, engineers/drafters, etc.) on the processes required to upload/enter their documentation in cPDM correctly for efficient engineering/production release. Some slight variation in standardization for each effort may be necessary. Other tasks requested by the program may/to include; creating release command media (IRs, CNs, NORs, Variances, etc.), maintaining Bills of Material (BOMs) and/or product configuration spreadsheets, assistance updating drawing trees and other engineering documents as requested by engineering, and running CREO reports.

Oversight of the processes support will also include monitoring the overall documentation level quality, commonality, schedule, and timely status to all customers; driving end to end program delivery success across defined efforts.

This will also include support in the development of IT/Software solutions for new tools and processes that will result in superior tracking solutions for visibility by the TDP Workflow Manager and the various program stakeholders. This capability should provide “real time” higher (rolled up) and lower (individual product) level assessment of elements of the TDP as it relates to the predicted release cycles of the documentation packages.

The candidate must be able to develop technical solutions to problems through use of ingenuity and creativity with minimal supervision. Candidate must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work autonomously while establishing schedule and priority needs. Must have a working knowledge of military and commercial design and drawing standards related to electronic packaging and electrical/mechanical designs. The candidate must be capable of working under general direction to provide technical solutions to a wide range of problems that may be encountered with technical documentation and models supporting engineering design intent. The candidate must also be familiar with design producibility considerations that could potentially impact the TDP, and be capable of recommending solutions. This individual must possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with co-workers and customers in a team environment. Candidate must be able to obtain a
security clearance.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • 4 years’ experience with Data Analysis
  • Previous experience with maintaining master schedules and use of schedule tracking tools (Microsoft Project, etc.) a plus
  • Industry Model Based Design (MBD) experience
  • Ability to share technical and process expertise with junior level check and program principles (disciplines)
  • US Citizenship. This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
  • Computer Aided Design design/drafting experience (mechanical and/or electrical); Mentor Graphics, PTC CREO, and AutoCAD design/drafting experience preferred
  • Strong, clear, and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate with various engineering disciplines and grade levels
  • Ability to set, manage and work to priorities
  • Experience in problem solving and process development
  • Ability to apply logic and reasoning in decision making
  • Ability to identify gaps and implement solutions
  • Passion for doing things right the first time
  • Outstanding organizational skills
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or STEM degree
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
