This position will support the US Navy’s E-2D’s AN/APY-9 Airborne Early Warning radar program on-going Flight Test events. This effort includes frequent domestic travel supporting test squadron detachments. During these events, this individual will be responsible for engineering support of the radar, including BIT/PMFL troubleshooting, loading software builds, and flight data analysis. Detachment support can span several weeks, and travel can approach 50% of the year. While not supporting detachment, this engineer will be performing various Systems Engineering requirements local, including: technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Basic Qualifications:
Position requires significant experience with either Radar design. Tasking includes system design and trade studies, RF chain analysis, and system performance analysis. Experience with RADAR Signal Processing Techniques, Sensor System Integration and Test, and Radar Performance Analysis Tools such as MATLAB is required
Desired Skills:
Model Based System Design, Test Automation, and Agile development experience preferred, prior Navy Flight-Line experience.
