Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) is looking for Systems Engineers to support the Systems Architecture Design and Integration Directorate (SADID) in the Missile Defense Center located at the Woburn Massachusetts facility.SADID is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within IDS and we welcome you to join our tradition of achieving excellence through thought and team work while leveraging individual diversity. Supporting this mission are teams providing domain expertise and creative solutions in surveillance, naval and missile defense based radar system design, sonar and undersea sensor system design, integrated air and missile defense systems engineering, command and control/battle management system design, combat system and platform architecture design and integration, operational analysis and simulation modeling research and development, software intensive system engineering, cyber solutions and algorithm development for signal processing, tracking and discrimination systems.
The Operations Analysis and Simulation Department within SADID has a charter to develop analysis tools and simulations that support programs across the IDS portfolio, including surface Navy, undersea Navy, missile defense sensors, interceptors, command and control, integrated air and missile defense systems and space surveillance systems.
The Operations Analysis and Simulation Department has an opportunity that crosses both the Systems Engineering and Software Engineering disciplines, looking for individuals eager to develop digital simulations of the radar sensors necessary to support programs in the IDS mission areas described above.

·Resolve technical issues identified by end users of active simulation tools.
·Update/maintain/utilize various simulation tools to support concept development, system performance and system verification/validation efforts.
·Design and implement new tactical capabilities in existing simulation tools.
·Interface with algorithm developers, software developers, and hardware developers, working as a team, in supporting both engineering development and production development of radar sensors.
·Support periodic customer briefings; creating technical presentations and reports necessary to support contract specified requirements.
This position can be a Salary Grade E04 or Salary Grade E05 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
·8 years of Software Engineering Product Development Cycle related experience.
·5 years of System Engineering Product Development Cycle related experience.
·Understanding of Software Engineering Product Development Cycle
·Strong coding skills in Java and/or C++
·Strong Matlab development experience
·Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills
·M.S. Electrical Engineering; Computer Science; Math – Applied, Mechanical Engineering, Physics
·Self-starter with the ability to independently pursue information and solve problems
·Understanding of System Engineering Product Development Cycle
