Sr Systems Engineer I

The Sr Systems Engineer must possess the ability to technically diagnose, mitigate/troubleshoot issues, and contribute to an on-site team providing 24x7 support to the C2BMC application suites that are globally dispersed in different time zones.

To be successful in this role you will participate in system/networking troubleshooting, problem resolution and maintenance activities, to include on-site and/or telephonic maintenance support. You will be a self-starting problem solver and possess the capability to work with limited supervision and support troubleshooting efforts to resolution.

Technical Skill Required:
  • Experience in Server Systems Administration and troubleshooting analysis in some or all of the following platforms: Linux, UNIX, Windows servers, and Windows clients
  • Experience with operations and maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems
  • Knowledge of Windows and Redhat System Administration and Application installation and configuration to ensure uptime, performance, resources, and security of the system is sustained and anomalies are fixed efficiently.
  • Ability to support the assessment and development of Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) and/or Operating Instructions (OIs) to effectively administer, operate and manage services under C2BMC operational control
  • Knowledge of modern computer systems, client/server, LAN/WAN and Network concepts, modern network management and monitoring concepts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Project, Word, PowerPoint and/or Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Clearance Requirement: Active/Current Secret Clearance.
  • Experience and knowledge of C2BMC System or Missile Defense Systems.

Education Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 4 years of professional experience;
  • Candidate must meet minimum requirements of DOD 8570 IAT II certification (Security +, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, and SSCP).

  • Position is normally Mon - Fri: may require on-call, evening and weekend support during system anomalies and or tests.
  • Position may transition to extended hours (second shift) dependent upon mission requirements.

Desired Skills:
  • Previous experience and knowledge of C2BMC System or Missile Defense
  • Scripting on Linux, UNIX or Windows servers and Windows Workstation
  • VMWare Administration and Configuration

This position requires a U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
